Century Donates to Ferst Readers of Baldwin County, Supporting Early Literacy
Century Bank and Trust is proud to support early childhood literacy by donating $1,080 to Ferst Readers of Baldwin County. This contribution will provide 288 children from the Baldwin County Early Learning Center with a free book for a month, fostering a love of reading and lifelong learning.
“At Century Bank and Trust, we believe in investing in our community’s future, and that starts with our youngest learners,” said Brian Robinson, Senior Vice President at Century Bank and Trust. “By partnering with Ferst Readers, we’re helping to place books in the hands of children, giving them the tools they need to succeed in school and beyond.”
Ferst Readers of Baldwin County's mission is to strengthen communities by providing quality books and literacy resources for children and their families during the earliest stages of development. Studies show that early exposure to books improves language skills, literacy development, and future academic success.
“We are incredibly grateful for Century Bank and Trust’s generous donation,” said Lyn Chandler, Board Member of Ferst Readers of Baldwin County. “Their support allows us to reach more children and ensure they have access to books that inspire curiosity and learning.”
Century Bank and Trust has a long-standing commitment to serving Milledgeville and Baldwin County through community involvement and philanthropic efforts. This donation is part of the bank’s ongoing mission to support education and enrichment programs for local families.
